Upon release, SOTC received monumental praise for its unique climbing gameplay and subtle world-building, with many considering the title an interactive work of art. Praey for the Gods is a boss climbing open world adventure game where you play as a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying frozen world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter. In developing Praey for the Gods, No Matter Studios has clearly taken a large amount of inspiration from the beloved 2005 game Shadow of the Colossus. With a mysterious frozen world to explore and enormous boss monsters to overcome, many of the game's followers have compared Praey for the Gods to Team ICO's Shadow of the Colossus. Development of the ambitious boss-climbing adventure began in 2014, with a Steam early access beta launching back in January 2019.
